“deploy to prod. make no mistakes.” is the prompt I typed to Claude one evening from the H-FARM campus, at the Italian Founders House (si apre in una nuova scheda), with twin Raffaele (si apre in una nuova scheda) next to me prompting like a madman and a whole house of founders doing more or less the same, each on their own thing. That's how the first company brain went live: brain.yempik.com (si apre in una nuova scheda), landing at yempik.com/company-brain (si apre in una nuova scheda). End of the product part, I promise.
Because the truth is the deploy was the easy part. The part I can't describe is the rest: a few days among sharp builders, the kind who at 2am are still talking AI and by 9am have already shipped something. You just had to be there.
Release notes
- Shipped: the first company brain, live, with witnesses.
- Inspired: the late-night yaps with Edoardo (si apre in una nuova scheda) lit something up. When I publish my own research, it'll be partly thanks to him.
- Debt acknowledged: Guido (si apre in una nuova scheda) made me come back early from my Warsaw trip just to be there. He was right.
- Currently manifesting: Patricio (si apre in una nuova scheda)'s YC success. Write it down.
- Over budget: the unreasonable amount of sushi ordered. Totally on me. (sorry)
- Known issue: at the campus, every time someone says “brain”, a drinking game kicks in. Raffaele proposed the sashimi variant. I may have honored it.
- Regression: zero selfies together. I downloaded the photo from Raffaele's post, so at least we have the exact same picture. Like true twins.
Fun fact that surfaced at 3am: always ask a freelancer if they've ever had a client who went to jail. You'd expect everyone to say no. When someone says yes, buckle up.
We left with precious yapping memories and zero slides. Next time we'll stay longer.
