I'm an AI engineer with a declared weakness for two things that don't usually go together: the research frontier and production. I work on the state of the art every day, and my criterion of truth stays the same: does the system hold real traffic, with real users, when I'm not watching?
My moat is that intersection. I talk with CEOs and boards about why a process needs redesigning, and then I architect and ship the infrastructure that runs it. I'm not the consultant who leaves slides behind, and I'm not the engineer waiting for a ticket. I'm the one who makes the architectural call in conversation with whoever runs the company — and then answers for it once it's in production.
What I do, concretely
Founder & CTO of Yempik (si apre in una nuova scheda), the Italian AI software house: agents, automations and custom software that reach production in weeks, with a public method and two open-source products (code-os and cowork-os) that prove it. In parallel I'm an AI engineer at Intarget, working on the transformation into a fullstack AI company: a proprietary agentic platform evolving into a governed company brain — governance, auditability, adoption, training — from strategic design to implementation.
My way of working has been AI-native since before that was a pitch-deck adjective: I design systems, I own the harness (tools, evals, verification, observability) and I treat models as swappable components. Any state-of-the-art technology is within reach: the hard part is never the technology, it's the method.
Where I come from, where I'm going
Turin as base, Milan for the network, Warsaw on the radar. I've been founding CTO at an EdTech startup, I've shipped freelance MVPs that ended up in production (WhatsApp and voice agents with security in the code, not in the prompt), and I've talked AI and business at Bocconi, at Italian Tech Week and on the podium of a voice-agents hackathon. Trajectory matters more than the starting point: it's the rule I use to pick projects, clients and bets.
Outside work: skiing (especially where the groomed run ends), high-altitude hikes, Japanese food, and a Markdown second brain that reads more than I do.
